Biography 

Early Life

Mac Gargan served as a police lieutenant, earning a reputation for extreme brutality while on duty. In his own view, the problem was never the violence itself, but rather his failure to finish the job. His conduct became so notorious that the resulting controversy directly led to the implementation of mandatory body cameras for police officers throughout the region.

Before leaving the police force, a clandestine organization composed of police officers identified by a hidden scorpion tattoo. The group was united by a single philosophy: criminals only commit crimes because they are given the opportunity. Among its members was Officer Elaine Coll, whose responsibility was to monitor body camera footage and quietly erase or ignore evidence of police brutality, ensuring that members of the movement remained protected from accountability.

After his dismissal from law enforcement, Mac Gargan reinvented himself as both a private security contractor and a hired killer. He was eventually recruited by Principal Miles Warren to patrol Midtown High School and intimidate the students organizing protests against the school's administration. Warren intended for the demonstrations to be crushed through fear, although he specifically ordered Gargan not to harm Gwen Stacy, as he had separate plans involving her.

The money Gargan earned from these contracts financed increasingly sophisticated cybernetic enhancements engineered by the Thinkerer. Every upgrade made him physically stronger, faster, and even more ruthless, gradually transforming him into something far beyond an ordinary human being.

With every enhancement, Gargan became more convinced that no police force, government agency, or individual could ever dismantle the Scorpion Movement. Empowered by his growing cybernetic body and unwavering ideology, he continues operating as the Scorpion, believing that absolute power and relentless violence are the only ways to impose order.
