Early Life

By the time Peter Parker had returned to his adult life, Mysterio had become the host of a bizarre and theatrical radio program known as Mysterio's Hysteria.

The program was dedicated to spreading increasingly outrageous claims about whatever controversial subject dominated the week's headlines.

Mysterio presented himself as an interdimensional traveler from Earth-1999999, insisting that he knew everything about the future and warning his audience about the imminent arrival of what he called "the Great Incursion."

His audience gradually became increasingly cult-like, accepting his claims with absolute certainty.

Behind the the tricks

Despite Mysterio's claims, Peter Parker was convinced that there was nothing supernatural about him.

The supposed interdimensional traveler's accent was unmistakably Brooklyn, while his appearance appeared to be constructed through a combination of practical effects, CGI, and Hammer Industries' latest generative AI technology.

Nevertheless, Mysterio's broadcasts were having a real impact.

The lies he spread about masked vigilantes contributed to the continuing decline of public approval toward heroes such as Spider-Man.

The Sinister Alliance

Peter eventually became convinced that Mysterio was not acting alone.

At least five familiar faces from his past appeared to be coordinating their activities with him, launching synchronized attacks designed to keep Spider-Man occupied while allowing them to maximize their own profits.

The group consisted of Mysterio, Sandman, Electro, Scorpion, Vulture, and an unidentified figure orchestrating their activities from the shadows.

Mysterio's role in this coordinated campaign made him one of the individuals Peter intended to confront as he investigated the hidden mastermind behind the attacks.
