Biography 

Early Life

Circe was once an ordinary mortal, but her life changed when she discovered what she believed to be the secret of the gods: devotion. Understanding that worship and faith were the foundations of divine power, she isolated herself on the island of Aeaea, where she began experimenting on unsuspecting travelers who crossed her path.

Circe transformed these travelers into animal-like creatures that reflected their own flaws. However, her victims were not permanently denied the possibility of returning to their human forms. If they wished to become human again, they were required to offer prayers to their new goddess, Circe. Through their devotion, she intended for them to eventually become as perfect and accomplished as she was herself.

As time passed, however, the number of Circe's devotees became increasingly insignificant. The world continued to evolve, and traditional levels of idol worship declined along with it. Circe realized that simply collecting followers was no longer enough to establish the influence she desired.

That was when she discovered Wonder Woman.

Upon reaching the distant lands where Wonder Woman had become a champion of the modern world, Circe recognized that the Amazon was a symbol of absolute empowerment. She understood that Wonder Woman's influence was directly connected to the enormous number of people who admired and celebrated her. Her image appeared in magazines, blockbuster movies, and T-shirts, making her an object of modern devotion on a scale that Circe could never achieve through her own methods.

Circe consequently became interested in the Amazons and their champion, realizing that Wonder Woman represented something she desperately wanted: a new form of devotion capable of restoring the importance of the gods.

At the same time, Ares was one of the few gods who refused to bow before the Amazons. Instead, he devised his own plan to destroy Wonder Woman and end the heroine's life. Ares believed that his plan would probably succeed, but Circe was always one step ahead of him.

If she could not be like Wonder Woman, Circe decided, she would create the next one.

Circe understood that divine heritage offered a shortcut to the top and that the gods enjoyed dealing with mortals whom they considered insignificant pawns in their games. She therefore manipulated Ares by exploiting his arrogance and his lack of suspicion toward ordinary humans.

Ares would never have willingly succumbed to the charms of a sorceress like Circe. However, he allowed himself to lie beside Donna Milton, a divorced secretary who appeared to pose no threat to him.

Donna Milton was not what she seemed. The identity was a fabricated persona created through Circe's magic, a false mortal existence that allowed Circe to remain close to Ares without revealing herself. When Ares received the genes of the god of war, Circe's deception finally fulfilled its purpose.

Through the unintended fertilization of Circe's heir, a new demigoddess was conceived. She was destined to become Ares's dark reflection and, ultimately, inherit the very mantle he despised: that of the champion of the Amazons.

The God's Pawn

Circe has come to understand the gods and the nature of their power in a way she never could as an ordinary mortal. Having manipulated Ares, exploited his arrogance, and used divine heritage to create the next generation of Amazonian power, she now views the gods themselves as pieces in her game.

Her creation of a demigoddess gives her a new means of challenging Wonder Woman and the Amazons, while simultaneously allowing her to exploit the very concept of devotion that first revealed the secret of the gods to her.

For Circe, playing with gods has become part of the game. Now, she understands them.
