Biography

Early Life

Felicia Hardy became the youngest billionaire in the world after building her fortune through technology.

While studying Software Engineering, she created a technology startup called The Black Cat, a virtual reality betting platform that allowed users to create wagers based on situations from their everyday lives. Friends and acquaintances could bet on the odds of different outcomes, with most users losing more often than they won, while successful bets could result in enormous payoffs.

The success of the platform transformed Felicia into one of the world's wealthiest young entrepreneurs.

The Black Cat

By the time Felicia became involved with Peter Parker, she was already an extraordinarily wealthy and influential figure.

Peter visited Felicia's luxurious penthouse every day, becoming involved with her personally. She was older and wealthier than him, and appeared far more willing to commit to their relationship.

However, Felicia's interest was not primarily in Peter Parker.

She preferred Spider-Man.

Felicia publicly associated herself with the masked hero, appearing beside him at public events and accompanying him on red carpets. She even kissed Spider-Man during advertising campaigns.

Her fascination with the hero extended into their private lives. At times, she asked Peter to wear the Spider-Man suit even when they were alone.

She also encouraged Peter to alter his appearance and behavior, convincing him to shave his head, wear tailored suits, adopt a rougher demeanor, and even begin drinking alcohol because she believed it made him funnier.

Relationship with the Friendly Neighborhood

Felicia's attraction to Spider-Man created a complicated relationship with Peter Parker, particularly because she appeared to prefer the identity behind the mask rather than the person underneath it.

She was also unhappy with Peter's continued relationship with Captain Jean DeWolff, whom he secretly met despite Felicia's objections.

Jean was the only person within the NYPD whom Peter truly trusted and the only individual capable of granting him access to places that would otherwise be inaccessible to a vigilante.

Felicia's relationship with Peter continued while Spider-Man remained increasingly consumed by his personal investigations and responsibilities.

The Sin-Eater attack

Felicia's life intersected with Peter's increasingly dangerous investigation into the Sin-Eater.

Jean DeWolff had become one of Peter's closest allies, but one night, when Peter entered her apartment, he discovered her lifeless on the couch, another victim of the Sin-Eater.

The murder occurred while Felicia remained part of Peter's complicated personal life, with her distrust of Jean contrasting with Peter's dependence upon the police captain.

The death of Jean marked another escalation in the danger surrounding Spider-Man and everyone connected to him.

The Hunter's Lover

Felicia became directly involved in Kraven Kravinoff's final hunt.

After defeating Peter and taking the living symbiote that had been bonded to him, Kraven used the creature to transform himself into a reflection of Spider-Man.

He eventually entered Felicia's apartment while wearing the symbiote.

Kraven hid beneath her bed before approaching her, and he suspected that Felicia immediately realized that the person before her was not Peter Parker. His body was broader, his scent was different, and his voice was rough and cavernous.

Even so, Felicia chose to indulge the illusion for a single night.
