MOON GIRL (EARTH-7)

Biography 

Early Life

 At the age of 8, Lunella became aware that there was something wrong with her, going through her first identity crisis. While the other students in her class struggled to reproduce the landscape on sheets of paper with crayons, she found herself sneaking through the institution's corridors in order to reach the electrical boxes, where she would destroy them and then rebuild them to completely understand how they worked, all without being seen.

But of course, high abilities always come with an equivalent punishment: high responsibilities, demands, and the constant escape from a terrible stagnation.

Because of this, Lunella always acted like everyone else, masking her nature and delaying her development, which was a drag, but a necessary means to an end.

Moon Girl

 She already understood that she was not like other people, but she needed proof of it, and testing such scientific theories required truly powerful equipment, something from beyond this world. 

 Her father, James Lafayette, worked as a legal advisor for Damage Control, the organization responsible for collecting extraterrestrial materials from the abandoned battlefields left behind by the planet's superheroes. His password to access the system became her entry point, allowing her to unlock the other security protocols that would grant her access to the confidential information storage of the world's governments. This was because Damage Control was apparently a subsidiary of S.W.O.R.D., an organization for which no official documentation exists, but which seems to have been created as a branch of the already well-known S.H.I.E.L.D. 

 To begin her plan, she adopted the pseudonym Moon Girl, a hacker focused on altering information to her advantage. In this simple way, she managed to reroute the transportation of the items that interested her to her own base of operations. This base was a warehouse that had been closed due to tax violations but had a new owner entered into the city's system. She also altered the protocols of an Oscorp research center so that they would test the results of the analyses she had developed.

Non-Human

 The equipment she operated was seized after an operation by Major Marvel and consisted of a Kree time-jump portal, used aboard high-speed spacecraft. She also managed to obtain a series of objects contaminated by the "The Mist" event, in which a deep mist covered specific parts of the country, some people disappeared, and when they returned several days later, some possessed superpowers. 

 Lunella's thesis was that her physiology descended from something beyond humanity, possibly Kree, like so many other "emerged" individuals from the The Mist situation. Even though she, and many other potential NuHumans, had not been directly exposed to the mist, the chemical presence of the substance seemed to have affected the global atmosphere, even if only minimally, and perhaps these abilities were already manifesting among the general NuHuman population, albeit at a lower potency. 

 Upon returning home after her discovery, she was mildly surprised to find her parents sitting in the dining room alongside armed guards from the highest levels of government. With them was a suited man, Phil Coulson, who claimed that S.W.O.R.D. had tracked the hacker Moon Girl to that location. That was because they were interested in recruiting her for an ultra-secret program. 

 A terrible way for your parents to discover that you have super-intelligence.
