Biography 

Early Life

 After Peter Parker’s parents, both elementary school teachers, died, he was raised by May, his mother’s older sister. May worked as a housekeeper and seamstress, while her husband, Ben Parker, supported the family through his work in construction. Together, they provided Peter with a stable home and treated him as their own son, always trusting him to be a bright and responsible young man.

As Peter grew older, May remained closely involved in his life. When he and Gwen Stacy founded SEEK, a student movement created in response to the failing education system and the administration of Midtown High School, May and Ben initially trusted Peter’s judgment. That changed when other parents began accusing him of encouraging students to boycott the school and planning to break into the building. The accusations eventually forced Ben to intervene, marking one of the first moments when May and Ben were confronted with the consequences of Peter’s growing independence.

May also became one of the strongest influences on Peter’s personal life. While he was studying at Columbia University alongside Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn, she repeatedly encouraged him to volunteer at F.E.A.S.T. and spoke enthusiastically about a new volunteer named Mary Jane Watson. May knew Mary Jane as an aspiring actress who had moved to New York to pursue her dreams, and she constantly encouraged Peter to meet her. Eventually, Peter accepted May’s insistence and attended F.E.A.S.T., where he met Mary Jane for the first time.

Although Peter’s life became increasingly complicated, May continued to be someone he could rely on. Even during periods when Peter distanced himself from his friends and abandoned his ordinary life, May remained concerned about the direction he was taking. When he eventually dropped out of college and withdrew from Gwen and Harry, his decision deeply frustrated her and contributed to the growing distance between them.

In time, May expanded her work with F.E.A.S.T. beyond simply helping those in need. She organized a gathering featuring renowned professionals living with disabilities, hoping their experiences and achievements could inspire people who were facing similar circumstances. Among those invited was Professor Otto Octavius, a brilliant scientist who lived with a chronic illness that was gradually paralyzing his limbs. At the time, Otto already relied on a wheelchair for mobility, yet he had recently earned his second Nobel Prize.

The meeting changed May’s life as much as it affected those she hoped to inspire. She became interested in Otto beyond his professional achievements, and the two eventually began seeing each other. Their relationship developed into something serious, and they revealed to Peter that they planned to marry early the following year. Peter was genuinely happy for them, viewing May and Otto as two of the people who had helped keep him on the right path while continuing to inspire him to move forward.

For May, the relationship represents another chapter in a life defined by caring for others. From raising Peter after the loss of his parents to encouraging him toward education, community service, and meaningful relationships, she remains an important presence in his life. 

 Even as Peter has grown into an adult and begun passing his own knowledge on to a new generation, May continues to be one of the people whose example reminds him that making a difference does not require extraordinary powers.
