agent venom (earth-7)

Flash Thompson, a once-celebrated soldier, is reshaped by war, loss, and manipulation into Agent Venom—an enhanced operative bonded to a synthetic symbiote. Beneath his newfound power lies a man driven by grief and justice, unknowingly molded into a weapon by the very force responsible for his greatest tragedy.

Biography

Early Life

Before his military career, Flash Thompson was a high school student known for his popularity, athleticism, and aggressive personality. During this time, he frequently bullied Peter Parker, viewing him as weak and socially inferior. Ironically, Flash greatly admired Spider-Man, never realizing that the hero he idolized and the classmate he tormented were the same person. Over time, and especially into adulthood, Flash matured, eventually developing respect for Peter and growing beyond his earlier behavior.

Flash Thompson earned distinction as a decorated soldier, proving himself in high-risk operations across Southeast Asia. Among his most notable actions was his involvement in the purge of the Ten Rings and the capture of the undercover agent Sabra, solidifying his reputation as a capable and loyal operative.

However, his military career came to a devastating end during the civil conflict in Madripoor, a war intensified by foreign intervention. In the chaos of the battlefield, Flash suffered a catastrophic accident that resulted in the loss of both his legs. Stripped of the life he once knew, he was sent back to the United States, where he was left to face a future defined by physical limitation and emotional displacement.

Attempting to rebuild his life, Flash reconnected with Gwen Stacy. Through her, he became indirectly entangled in a growing political movement. He introduced Gwen to Sam Bullit, a mayoral candidate who sought to use her public image and personal history as a symbol to support an anti-vigilante agenda. Although Gwen initially became involved, she ultimately rejected the campaign and instead emerged as a strong activist opposing the Registration Act, influencing public perception against government control of vigilantes.

Her growing influence, however, made her a target. Seen as a destabilizing force, Gwen Stacy was eliminated to prevent further disruption—an act orchestrated by Norman Osborn as part of his broader strategic interests. Her death left a profound impact on Flash, deepening his sense of loss and fueling an internal conflict between grief and the desire for justice.

In the aftermath, Flash became increasingly vulnerable, searching for purpose in the wake of tragedy. This moment of weakness did not go unnoticed. He was approached and recruited into a covert program connected to the Life Foundation, where he was chosen as the ideal candidate for a highly experimental procedure.

Flash was bonded to a synthetic symbiote—a refined and controlled replica of the original alien organism once linked to Spider-Man. The process not only restored his physical capabilities but elevated him beyond human limits, granting him enhanced strength, adaptability, and combat efficiency. At the same time, it bound him to a system of control, placing him within a structure far larger than he fully understood.

the perfect host

Now operating as Agent Venom, Flash Thompson stands as a powerful operative shaped by both his resilience and his manipulation. Empowered by the synthetic symbiote, he carries out missions with precision and intensity, driven by a lingering sense of justice rooted in his past.

Yet beneath his role lies a hidden truth: the path that led him here was carefully orchestrated. As he continues to act in pursuit of purpose, Flash remains unknowingly tied to the same force responsible for the tragedy that still defines him, walking a line between hero, soldier, and controlled instrument of a greater design.
