Early Life
Rocket was not born in the traditional sense he was engineered in a laboratory by an alien race that considered itself superior. His species, along with many others, was created to serve a very specific function: to act as caretakers of Halfworld, a planetary institution dedicated to the rehabilitation and care of sick or disabled members of that same species. These creations were not meant to evolve or question their existence; they were tools, designed to maintain order in a system that would one day collapse.
Over countless cycles, Rocket and his kind fulfilled their roles. However, as time passed, Halfworld was abandoned by its creators. The institution that once justified their existence fell into decay, and the original inhabitants gradually died out. Left behind in a world without purpose, the animals became its new inheritors. They adapted, evolved, and began to form their own society, creating identities beyond what they had been designed for.
Rocket, however, was never satisfied with simply existing within the boundaries of Halfworld. Where others adapted to their new reality, he saw only confinement. His ambitions extended far beyond the dying systems of his origin, and he refused to let his existence be defined by a forgotten purpose. Determined to carve out something greater for himself, he chose to leave Halfworld behind entirely.
