Early Life

Heather Douglas’ life changed forever during a tragic encounter with Thanos’ first reconnaissance mission to Earth. When the Mad Titan was discovered by her unsuspecting family, he chose to eliminate the threat. As he destroyed their car to silence them, his daughter Supergiant intervened, sensing extraordinary genetic potential within Heather. Rather than killing her, they spared the child, implanting a secret earpiece within her and delivering her to the Priests of Pama—an isolated cult devoted to mental discipline and cosmic purpose.

Raised among the Priests of Pama, Heather grew up as one of their monks, rigorously trained in advanced telepathic and mental manipulation techniques. The cult functioned through a shared psychic network, and Heather quickly proved exceptional, rising within their ranks. Her abilities and discipline set her apart, eventually drawing the attention of a mysterious extra-dimensional entity known as the Dragon of the Moon.

This being, accessible only through powerful telepathy, sought Heather as its mortal ally. It revealed a dire prophecy: the Celestial Madonna would soon abandon the Priests of Pama, leaving them vulnerable. In the aftermath, Thanos would return to Titan, annihilating the Priests and destroying the Cotati hidden beneath the planet’s surface. However, the Dragon offered Heather a way to prevent this catastrophe—by accepting its power.

Heather agreed to the pact. In doing so, she absorbed and tamed the Dragon, gaining immense psychic abilities and becoming the being known as Moondragon. In exchange, she was bound to one day return the entity to a suitable refuge among the moons of the galaxy, where it could thrive once more.
