Biography 

Early Life

Wally West was 15 when his parents decided to move to Central City, forcing him to start over without knowing anyone except his older sister, Iris West. Iris was a successful novelist and writer, famous for her biography Flash – The Lightning Before the Thunder, commissioned by the legendary Jay Garrick.

In Central City, Wally formed an unexpected friendship with his brother-in-law, Barry Allen—a brilliant scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs with an impressive comic book collection, which he gladly shared with Wally. Wally admired Barry’s intelligence and career, while Iris often teased Barry for his perfectionism and slow pace in finishing projects.

Origin

One week, while Barry Allen was focused on a personal project at S.T.A.R. Labs, Wally grew too anxious to wait for another comic. He sneaked into Barry’s room and searched through his collection, finding sheets of reports about a project—a recreation of the experiment that had created the Flash, carried out by a partnership between Jay Garrick and Barry Allen. Later, while riding his bike to S.T.A.R. Labs, excited to watch the experiment, a sudden storm erupted. Wally was struck by lightning before he could even hear the thunder, granting him the powers of super-speed. 

As Flash

 Wally was the youngest member of the Justice League and, due to his youth and inexperience, was first placed in the Teen Titans alongside other young heroes to learn how to control his powers and grow into his role. Under the leadership of Dick Grayson, Wally honed his skills and embraced his responsibilities, though friends sometimes joked that his maturity hadn’t quite caught up to his speed.

Shortly afterward, as Wally grew older and came into his own as a hero, he took up the mantle of the Flash. Still in his late teens, he played a pivotal role in preventing Starro’s invasion alongside the newly formed Justice League. However, because he was still considered too young, he was not invited to officially join the team. 

Adulthood

 In his first year as a Justice League member, the events of the Secret Pact hapenned, Wally voted for the pact to be firmed, but nowadays he completely regrets his decision in taking part of it.

Seven years later, Wally’s life took a dramatic turn when he won the lottery. Using this windfall, he built a mansion in Keystone City and invested in advanced speedster equipment: 

• A new headquarters.

• A specialized van.

• A new super-suit stored in a quantum ring.

 At the request of Joan Garrick, widow of the original Flash, Jay Garrick, Wally moved to Keystone City to become the city’s new protector. The role demanded constant travel—often across three cities in a single day—revealing just how exhausting the heroic life truly is.

Despite the strain, Wally found support in: Linda Park, a bold TV journalist who champions his accomplishments (sometimes with a bit of sensationalism); Iris West and Barry Allen, who help maintain stability in his life even while raising newborn twins. 

Though Wally has embraced the mantle with pride and responsibility, he sometimes reflects on the path that brought him here. In darker moments, he wonders whether things might have been better if fate had chosen differently—if the lightning had struck Barry instead of him.

Family and Responsabilities

Years after leaving behind the identity of Kid Flash and witnessing the end of the original Teen Titans, Wally West achieved his lifelong dream by becoming the Flash and joining the Justice League. His early years with the League quickly proved far more complicated than he had imagined, as he became involved in difficult decisions and eventually participated in a secret pact formed among certain members of the team. Those experiences shaped him into a more mature hero and left a lasting impact on both his career and personal life.

Today, Wally’s life has changed dramatically. Having won the lottery, he used part of his fortune to establish a home in Keystone City and invest in advanced technology and experimental projects, including a secure facility capable of containing dangerous speed-based phenomena. At the same time, his responsibilities have expanded beyond heroics. Following the death of her husband, Joan Garrick asked Wally to dedicate more time to supporting her and Jay Garrick’s legacy, a request he ultimately accepted despite the strain it places on his already demanding schedule.

As a result, Wally now divides his time between multiple cities, balancing his duties as the Flash with his obligations to family and the wider superhero community. Public attention has only complicated matters further. Media personality Linda Park frequently covers the Flash’s activities, often turning his exploits into major news stories and increasing his public visibility. Fortunately, Wally continues to rely on the support of his loved ones, particularly Iris West and Barry Allen, who have remained constant sources of stability throughout his life. With Iris now raising newborn twins and Barry continuing to stand beside him, Wally finds himself surrounded by the family he always valued, even as the demands of being the Scarlet Speedster continue to grow.
