Biography 

Origin

Oswald Cobblepot’s story began in Gotham’s aristocracy. His parents, Esther and her husband, were a benevolent but ambitious couple. They longed for a child, but due to Esther’s uterine malformation, they turned to the Wayne Charity Network, adopting a newborn baby boy: Oswald. 

 A few months later, a miracle happened—Esther became pregnant. The Cobblepots, eager to keep their biological child as their heir, attempted to return Oswald. But they were unsuccessful, and so Oswald grew up as an unwanted burden. 

Early Life

By the time he was ten, the Cobblepots had produced four additional children. These siblings represented competition for the inheritance, and Oswald—who had never been good at sharing—saw them as obstacles. His resentment grew into something far darker. 

At seventeen, Oswald became an only child once more, not by chance, but through meticulously orchestrated schemes. One by one, his siblings died in “accidents” or mysterious incidents, the result of Oswald’s careful and calculated manipulations. He preferred not to get his hands dirty directly but found great satisfaction in planning and witnessing their demise.

His final ascent came on his eighteenth birthday, when both of his adoptive parents died in a car crash caused by sabotaged brakes. With his siblings gone and his parents eliminated, Oswald became the sole heir to the Cobblepot fortune.

As the Penguin

From that moment, he forged himself into the figure Gotham would come to know: The Penguin. Using his wealth and intelligence, he built a powerful empire in Gotham’s underworld. Behind the facade of respectability, he operated as a ruthless manipulator, expanding his criminal network while disguising himself as a legitimate businessman and political figure.

Now, Cobblepot stands as both a crime boss and a candidate for power, seeking not only to control Gotham’s streets but also to win its people’s votes. His ambition knows no bounds—his next step is political legitimacy, with polls already favoring him as the shadowy figure who might dominate Gotham both in crime and in politics.
